Rules

  • Do not Spam or flood any channel with text.
  • Do not Spam or flood the server with commands.
  • Channel owners may assign user modes and ban however they please. Do not come to IRC staff to complain about a channel ban.
  • Do not abuse services to steal someone's name or channel. This is a serious offense!
  • Do not send a private messages to people who do not want them. If someone tells you to stop, Stop.
  • Do not harass anyone.
  • Inappropriate and adult behavior will not be tolerated. This includes explicit text of any kind, including nicknames.
  • Do not Post links to explicit or inappropriate content. Just because it does not specificity show something does not make it acceptable.
  • Trolling will result in a permanent ban.
  • Do not discuss or send links to pirated or hacking material in any channel or private message. Breaking this rule will get you permanently banned from Foxnet.
  • Do not program bots to break these rules.
  • Attempting to get around any of these rules on Technicalities may take a 3 day ban and turn it into a permanent ban. We do not tolerate this kind of behavior. We will not waste time arguing the rules' meanings. We wrote them.
  • We do not allow religion specific channels for any other religion than Christianity. (This is a Christian network!)

There are unspoken and undefined rules not listed on this page. Generally these are common sense, but if an IRC staff member tells you not to do something, don't do it. Though power abuse from staff will not be tolerated, they can and will use the abilities they've been given.

If you're not sure about something, never hesitate to ask. It isn't our goal to ban or mute anyone. We don't bite and are generally pretty understanding of honest mistakes.

Submit disputes with discretion. Unintelligent disputes including but not limited to, "It wasn't inappropriate! it was free expression through art!" will be ignored or otherwise handled with the submitter accordingly.
